What's your background in ultimate? I started playing freshman year of high school at Monarch so that makes this my 8th year playing. I've played for Monarch High School (2010-2014), Colorado YCC (2014), CU Kali (2014-2018) and Jackwagon (2015, 2017, 2018).

Favorite movie? Too many to choose from but I guess The Notebook #cliche

Favorite book? Hunger Games Series

Favorite food? Ice Cream

Favorite animal? Dogs or cows

Walk up song? Footloose by Blake Shelton

Pump up song? Good As Hell - Lizzo

What's your favorite Kali memory? Catching the winning goal in the Oregon game that meant we'd made semis at nationals last year. Everyone just started freaking out and hugging each other. Or when we got the 5th layout D at Mudtex (Centex 2015) which meant Claire had to eat the worm. Everyone started going nuts and the other team was so confused.

Why do role models matter? Role models give you a physical picture/description of who you aspire to be. They show you where you want to be and might give some insight of how to get there. Role models are people in a community that make the community better by leading by example.

What does equity mean to you? I struggled for a long time with the difference between equity and equality. It wasn't until last year that I fully understood what equity meant and why it was important. Equity is giving more opportunities to people who are naturally at a disadvantage in an attempt to even the field. This is important to me because being a woman, I am already at a disadvantage compared to men. This is especially important to me in the media coverage of ultimate and wage gap in the workplace. While both are getting better, neither is where we want it to be.

What's your favorite quote? "Sometimes the most ordinary things could be made extraordinary simply by doing them with the right people."
